Don't know what it is about Denver, but Bachelorette #1 was number five on the Denver Post's list of bestselling fiction paperbacks (the fact that my agent is there and we had a big reading at The Tattered Cover may have something to do with it). It had some impressive company (Life of Pi, The Secret Life of Bees). You can bet that little piece of newspaper will garner a prized spot on my bulletin board until it's yellowed and dog-earred, and but a distant memory of B#1's place in the annals of "chick lit."

This morning I had my first brush with TV stardom (ok, stardom may be a slight exageration, how about as much stardom as you can have on a show broadcast from Maryland to Maine). I was interviewed on Comcast's CN8 "Your Morning" blabbering on about the book. I met some great guests in the green room (which in fact is not green) - they ranged from a physical therapist and Heather Roan Robbins, an astrologer who had me convinced (www.roanrobbins.com), to energetic guru Suzanne Zoglio (www.zoglio.com) and "champion for children" and emmy winner Thomas Badrick (www.baldrick.com). Such wonderful people! A great time was had by all, and now my kids have a video to watch that stars mommy instead of Arthur, Blues Clues or a purple dinosaur.
