I loved e. lockhart's The Boyfriend List and so recommend it for YA readers. Now the sequel is out (and so is the paperback for The Boyfriend List, so if you've been balking due to the hardcover price, you no longer have an excuse!).

Went to my 20th high school reunion/homecoming this weekend in CT. Our graduating class wasn't very big, a mere 56 people, so it wasn't like there was going to be a huge rush of people to see. Which is why there isn't a day dedicated to a real "reunion" - and instead they combine it with homecoming so there are lots of extras taking up space. I explained this to my husband before hand so he wouldn't be surprised when a whopping 7 people showed up. In any case, it was very cool seeing classmates, who all look exactly the same! And best of all, they all have a sense of humor, which, in my book, is the most important thing. They're also an interesting little crowd, with a Phd, a documentary film maker, a photographer who travels around the world on assignment, an athletic coach (who is going to help me set up an alumni/student field hockey game for next year, even if it kills us), all sorts of neat things (Tucker, I apologize if you're reading this, I wasn't sure CIO fell under the banner of 'neat things' even if I find your chosen profession captivating).

When we arrived home Saturday night my husband flipped on the TV and Breakfast Club was on - how perfect! It was like a day in a time warp. I actually remembering seeing B'fast Club in high school and there wasn't a radio station that wasn't playing Simple Mind's "Don't Your Forget About Me" into the ground. So I enjoyed my day spent in 1986, even if I didn't have a chance to break out my jean jacket, play with a Rubik's Cube and toast myself with a Moosehead beer.
