My favorite Olympic athlete names:
1. Joey Cheek - can't say it without laughing or thinking that it would make a great gangster name.
2. The Flying Tomato - real name: Shaun White, not nearly as catchy.
3. Autti Antti - pronounced 'Audi Anty,' which just sounds cute.
4. Apolo Anton Ohno - here's my thought process: Greek god, 70's pin-up girl (Susan Anton) and Yoko Ono. Quite a combination.

Up for a mystery? The lovely Julie Kenner just released her second novel of high-heeled thrills. The follow-up to Julie's THE GIVENCHY CODE, THE MANOLO MATRIX pulls another woman into a mysterious world of extreme gaming where she must play or die. Last summer Julie and I got to sit together at dinner given by one of our mutual publishers, and she was just great (she's also great because she's contributing an essay to the upcoming Judy Blume essay).
