It's almost April and it's snowing here. Again. For the last three days. Good thing I'm heading out to Palm Springs with the kids for Spring Break - five days of ninety degree weather and, best of all, my parents to occupy the kids while I lay around and become a bronzed goddess (actually I'm bringing my laptop and working and there will be no bronzing - I got that out of my system in college, as my sun damaged and freckled chest proves). Just painted my toes a ravishing color, OPI's You're A Pisa Work. Now my toes are ready for action, a little feet flirting, as they say. Also get to pack all sorts of summer clothes. Am very psyched to not wear pants for a few days.

My husband's 37th birthday is on Sunday and what did he want? Shoes. The man is a serious shoe guy, thinks he can never have too many shoes in his closet - or in the mudroom, or under the kitchen table, or next to the family room couch. So I got him two new pairs of shoes at zappo.com - it's the greatest web site. They have hundreds, maybe thousands, of shoes - from Kate Spade to Bass.
