We are moving. And that means that it's time to start lightening the load, so to speak. The less to pack the better. So I decided to begin with my closets. There are about fifteen suits hanging in one closet from the old days when I actually went to an office every day. But, since I traded in DKNY labels for NIKE running pants, those poor suits have just been hanging there looking like former shells of their pinstriped selves - dust will do that to wool. As much I loved those relics from years ago, even I had to admit that it was time to wave bye bye. Pleated pants. Shoulder pads. Vests. (even I cringe when I type that)

I now have four huge green lawn bags filled with clothes for charity. I held nothing back. Gone is the Hawaiian print shirt with matching sarong that I once wore to college luau parties. Gone is the gorgeous chocolate brown and cream houndstooth suit I wore for (gulp) two college interviews. College! We're talking an interview I had in 1986. It was a truly beautiful Ann Taylor suit that I just had to have. And now I had to bid farewell. Even though it did score me acceptances at both colleges it visited. It was like saying goodbye to history, I knew where and when I bought every single suit.

So now there is a ton of room in my closet, the moving trucks will have less to haul, and hopefully there's someone in the market for a Hawaiian sarong that once witnessed me doing beer bongs.

1-If you won a million dollars, how much of it would you give to charity?
Enough so I wouldn't feel guilty and my kids would learn that what goes around comes around.
2- Describe what you looked like in the 5th grade.
I can tell you this, my hair was dirty blonde, parted down the middle, with some fabulous Kristy McNichol-like wings going on.
3-Do you think you have a good singing voice?
No.
4- Which would be harder to give up, TV or chocolate?
Chocolate.
5- A cat darts into the road and you hear a thud under your tire, do you stop?
Not only do I stop, if the cat needs my help I wrap it in my coat and take it to the nearest animal hospital. I'd want someone to do the same for my cat.
6- A friend has chronic bad breath, do you say something? If so, what?
I'd buy them a case of Altoids and hope they got the drift.
7- If you had to move to another country for a year, which one would you choose and why?
Greece, because I've been fascinated by the Greek Islands ever since a sixth grade social studies project.
8- What kind of food is your best friend?
Don't have one, I'd rather have real people for friends.
9- When is the last time you cried?
Tough one, I'm not really a crier.
10- What will the last line of your obituary say?
In lieu of a funeral, there will be a huge party with open bar and loud music.
11- Which Brady would you date if you had to?
Peter. But, thankfully, I've never had to.
12- Name the movie you would star in if you could be the lead in any film ever made.
The Sound of Music (pretty difficult since I've already established I can't sing)
13-What is the worst thing a friend has ever done to you?
Not called for over one year (she's since called and we talk regularly)
14- What is the last good deed someone has done for you?
My son gave me his candy bar.
15- What is your least favorite fashion trend?
Pants that hang off your ass and drag along the ground - any parent who lets their kid walk around like that should have to pay a stiff penalty.
16- Tell about a time when you laughed inappropriately.
My laughter is inappropriate about 99% of the time.
17- What makes you happy?
Hanging out with my family and friends - with cocktails.
18- If you could name only one song as the best song of all times, which would it be?
Can't come up with just one. The age of iPod has spoiled me into thinking I can listen to 1000s of songs every day.
19- How old do you wish you were right now?
38, which I am.
20-Name three things you wouldn't do for money.
Is this some sort of moral test? I wouldn't do anything that would make it impossible for me to sleep at night.
21- Are 21 questions too many???
