So many years after I used to cut the pictures out of Seventeen magazine and follow directions on how to apply blush (sweep under the cheekbones to create that oh-so-sexy hollow look), a book I wrote is actually going to be on Seventeen.com (although my pages will not contain any make-up tips or how-to's, as I've long retired my CoverGirl blush and the desire to fake the hollowed-cheek look).

The Book It! Game consists of several multiple choice questions that will determine a visitor's personality and recommend a list of books for summer reading. Based on the answers given - a personality category will be determined and 6 books will be suggested (PLAN B is one of them). Once they calculate your answers, the site recommends your must-have summer books. Click here to take the Book It! quiz. I did. And you'd think I'd end up with my own book, right? Wrong.

There I was trying to pick the answers that I thought would land me on PLAN B and I didn't. Then I found out that if your answers indicate you're into comedy, PLAN B is one of the suggested titles. Well, I guess I never thought of PLAN B as a comedy, even though I do laugh out loud at myself a lot. But here I thought I was the only one. Now I've learned that Seventeen magazine thinks I'm funny, too! And they haven't even seen me attempt to layer three shades of eyeshadow to create eyes that are larger and greener than they could ever possibly be in real life.

1. 1. That nine year old bottle of hydrogen peroxide that I was so proud of finally throwing out before the move will ultimately come in handy when my husband slices the tip of his finger off while unpacking the Cuisinart. And so I will go buy a new bottle of hydrogen peroxide that will go unused for another nine years.

2. The salt and pepper shakers will go missing and I will go buy new ones - only to find the old ones packed in a beach bag with sun tan lotion. In fact, everything that goes missing will show up as soon as I've purchased a replacement, taken it out of the wrapping, and tossed the receipt.

3. A foyer closet intended for coats will inevitably be co-opted by children and turned into a clubhouse within their first ten minutes in the house.

4. After five trips to Target, shopping doesn't seem like so much fun anymore.

5. It's important to measure things before heading off to Lowe's - but it's even more important to remember to bring the measurements with you, lest you end up holding your hands apart in estimation while you explain to the guy in the window aisle that you need a shade, "about this wide."
