Because I work out of my home I get to obsess all day about what I'd do differently if I could start from scratch, my ideas range from knocking down every wall in my master bath, including blowing out the walk-in closets, to gutting my kitchen, redoing the kids' bath and generally changing the colors of all my walls. Which I've actually done. Twice. I was on a conference call once, looking around at the walls, and as soon as I hung up I went to the paint store and started painting. Today the built-ins in the family room are white instead of natural wood, and my living room is some creamy yellowish color I picked out at Restoration Hardware. I still don't have any furniture in said living room, but that's another story. And another area to think about when on conference calls.
So, anyway, back to this contest. . .I'm one of those people who enters contests but never wins. In the past I've entered contests to win everything from a free sandwich at a local deli to a 7 carat diamond ring. And I got nada. Once, when I was a senior in high school, I was driving from CT to MA for a college interview, and just as I got past Hartford my name was announced on the radio (I had a WLIR card and apparently was randomly selected to win concert tickets). This was back in the days before cell phones, so I just kept driving, listening to them repeat my name over and over, the tickets slipping through my grasp with every mile. So close, yet so far.
