MTV Books will be publishing PLAN B in the spring of 2006. It sounds so far away, but I'm sure it will be here before I know it - kinda like turning 37. It's a two book deal, which means I've got to also come up with an idea for a second book, as well. While being published by MTV is cool, the coolest thing is that my editor is also editing Nikki Sixx's bio. Me and Nikki Sixx have like one degree of separation! So I'm thinking Nikki and I are destined to become best friends, and he'll end up asking me to go on tour with Motley Crue for a bit, maybe sing back-up on a few songs, so that second book may take a while.
When I told my five year old (who is a massive music freak and video junkie) that the same company that runs his beloved VH-1 is going to be publishing mommy's book, he didn't care so much about Motley Crue or Nikki Sixx. His response was, "Maybe Greenday will read it." Talk about a generation gap.
