More teen books from MTV are on the way!

I love Martha's Vineyard and now I'll get to write about it for my new teen series about what happens on the island during the summer. The first book is all fleshed out, but, alas, I haven't been able to come up with a name. And believe me, I've tried. If you have suggestions, I'm more than willing to listen.

Here's a little bit about "unnamed novel #1" in the Martha's Vineyard Summer series:

There are two types of people on Martha’s Vineyard – the ones who get to leave at summer’s end and the ones who are left behind. Best friends since third grade, Kendra and Mona are the girls who are left behind, the locals who watch the summer residents and vacationing families drive their shiny imported SUVs off the ferry and straight to The Black Dog for souvenir t-shirts and just-baked blueberry muffins at four dollars a pop.

But right before their junior year of high school, that all changes.

When Mona’s mother marries summer resident Malcolm Keener, Mona goes from island local to the step daughter of one of Boston’s wealthiest business men. After a year in Boston and private school, Mona returns to the Vineyard to spend the summer in Malcolm's summer house, only when Kendra greets Mona at the ferry dock it's obvious things will never be the same between them. And they're about to discover that while the summer sun may make the small island larger than life, secrets, broken promises and betrayal have lasting consequences.
